Malware beacons often occur at precise periodic intervals. This behavior makes them easier to detect, and there are multiple techniques we can use to find them. The Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) is a digital signal processing (DSP) technique that is used to decompose a digital signal into the underlying frequencies that make it up. This is often used to remove noise from audio and other signals.
